Table of contents

Devin pricing starts at $0 with the Free plan, while Pro costs $20/month, Max costs $200/month, and Teams starts at an $80/month minimum, with full seats at $40/month each counting toward it. Enterprise uses custom pricing, and self-serve plans include usage quotas with on-demand credits available once those limits run out.

Devin pricing plans as of 2026

Devin lists five plans on its pricing page, ranging from a free individual tier to custom Enterprise pricing.

Plan Price Usage model Key inclusions
Free $0 Light included quota Limited model availability, unlimited inline edits, and unlimited Tab completions
Pro $20/month Daily and weekly included quotas Full model access, Devin Cloud, and extra usage at API pricing
Max $200/month Larger weekly quota with no daily cap Everything in Pro with significantly higher usage
Teams $80/month minimum; full seats $40/month each, counting toward it Per-seat quotas plus shared on-demand credits Shared workspace, centralized billing, admin analytics, and priority support
Enterprise Custom pricing ACU-based billing Dedicated deployment option, SAML/OIDC SSO, centralized admin controls, dedicated account management, and highest-priority support

Pro is Devin’s most popular plan, while Max is its newest self-serve tier.

Cognition announced these subscription tiers in April 2026, replacing Devin's per-ACU self-serve pricing. If you're comparing seat pricing here, note that only Teams full seats include Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf), which Cognition folded into Devin's plan structure. Flex seats do not.

How Devin ACUs work in practice

An Agent Compute Unit (ACU) reflects the amount of agent effort a task takes. How many it burns scales with the model you pick and the inference it uses, and ACUs cover Devin CLI and local agents as well as cloud sessions.

Self-serve plans use a different billing model. Free comes with a limited usage quota, while Pro, Max, and Teams add on-demand credits once that quota runs out.

Here’s what that can look like on a real task:

The amount of quota a task consumes depends on the model, task size, complexity, and reasoning required. A small fix can use much less of your allowance than a multi-file refactor with several rounds of testing.

Is Devin free? Is there a free trial?

Yes. Devin has a Free plan at $0/month with a light usage quota, limited model availability, unlimited inline edits, and unlimited Tab completions.

Devin runs free trials of its paid plans from time to time, but they are a promotional offer rather than something you can sign up for. Devin Review has its own two-week free trial. The Free plan is the reliable way to test Devin before upgrading to Pro, Max, or Teams.

Devin vs Cursor and Claude Code on cost

Devin, Cursor, and Claude Code all have entry points around $20/month, but the pricing grows differently as usage increases. Devin moves to Max at $200/month, Cursor adds Pro+ at $60/month before Ultra at $200/month, and Claude Code is included with Claude Pro at $20/month, Max 5x at $100/month, and Max 20x at $200/month.

Tool Free option First paid plan Higher individual tiers Team pricing
Devin Yes Pro $20/month Max $200/month $80/month minimum; $40/month per full developer seat
Cursor Yes Pro $20/month Pro+ $60/month; Ultra $200/month Standard $40/user/month
Claude Code No; Claude Free does not include Claude Code Claude Pro $20/month Max 5x $100/month; Max 20x $200/month Claude Team Standard $25/user/month billed monthly; Premium $125/user/month

Devin’s pricing is tied to agent quotas and delegated cloud work. Paid plans can purchase extra usage at API pricing after their included allowance runs out.

Cursor also includes a set amount of model usage with each plan. On-demand usage can continue after the included amount is consumed, and Cursor recommends Pro+ for frequent Agent users and Ultra for heavier use.

Claude Code comes with Claude Pro, Max, and Team plans. Pro costs $20/month when billed monthly, Max 5x costs $100/month, and Max 20x costs $200/month. Claude Team costs $25 per Standard seat or $125 per Premium seat when billed monthly.

I’d choose between these tools based on how involved I want to stay while the work is happening. Devin works well for tasks I can delegate and review afterward. Cursor keeps the coding loop more hands-on, while Claude Code gives me more flexibility across the terminal, IDE, Slack, and web.

Costs to watch beyond Devin’s listed plan price

The plan price is only part of what I’d budget for. Here’s what I’d watch before estimating the real monthly cost:

I’d pay closest attention to shared credits, usage limits, and auto-reload on Teams. A few heavier users can draw from the same pool, which can push the monthly total beyond the base subscription price.

Is Devin worth it in 2026?

Devin pricing is worth it if you regularly have coding work you can hand off and review later. Pro at $20/month is where I'd start. Max fits heavier individual usage, while Teams makes more sense once several people need shared billing, collaboration, and admin controls.

The main thing I’d watch is how quickly real tasks consume your quota. Our Devin AI review covers where I still had to step in, while our AI app builder roundup gives more context on tools built for creating software with AI.
